St. Joseph School Endowment Trust will have its fourth annual “Continue the Legacy” gala at 6 p.m. Nov. 2, with a Mass of Thanksgiving in the parish church, followed by a reception and dinner in the parish hall.
For the 20th anniversary of the construction of St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1992, the Rev. Alex Kennedy, who was St. Joseph’s associate pastor during 1990-’95, will preside at the Mass and reflect on how the construction pulled together Muskogee's Catholics and consolidated support for Catholic education.
Parishioners will offer reflections from each of Muskogee’s previous parishes: Church of the Assumption, Sacred Heart and Saint Augustine. Catholic parishioners will be honored for steadfastly supporting Catholic education in Muskogee since 1891.
St. Joseph School Endowment Trust was established in the 1970s to provide a stable source of additional funding for St. Joseph School.
Tickets for the gala are $50 each and available through St. Joseph’s school office, (918) 683-1291.
