Shirle Lamb Williams, a Wagoner native and historian, will be at Muskogee Public Library from 2 to 4 p.m. today to sign copies of her book, “Wagoner … in the beginning,” in the Genealogy and Local History Department. Copies of the book will be on sale.
Williams is the fourth generation of her family to call Wagoner home. Her great- grandparents were the town's first settlers in 1887.
The book is the result of documents and photographs she inherited from her father, combined with her research and the contributions of other families.
