Get your private-dancing shoes on for the Roxy Theater’s tribute to rock star Tina Turner on Saturday night, Aug. 11.
The second annual concert tribute, featuring local artist Starr Fisher, starts at 7 p.m. at 220 W. Okmulgee Ave.
Admission costs $10, Civic Center Director Cassandra Gaines said.
Fisher will perform Turner’s biggest chart hits, including “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “Proud Mary” and “River Deep — Mountain High.”
“Everybody who loves, if you want something to do Saturday, this is going to be the best place to be,” Fisher said.
The concert will include backup dancers, known as the Ikettes, and a live band, Fisher said, adding that one performer joining her performed with the original Ike & Tina Turner Revue.
