EUFAULA — The seventh annual Eufaula Art Walk is set for Saturday on Main Street in Eufaula — and it features more than art.
Regional artists have art on display at Main Street near the courtyard at Bank of Eufaula. The city-wide art festival will include a car and golf cart show with a golf cart parade. Lynn Melton, caricature artist, will set up at Posey Park emphasizing car caricatures and any other kind of caricatures people want hand drawn. The event is hosted by the Eufaula Area Arts Council.
“This year Eufaula Art Walk is dedicated to Jackson Narcomey. He was a Creek artist, originally from Eufaula, who was part of Art Walk last year and has passed away since,” Glenna McBride, executive director for Eufaula Area Arts Council, said in a media release.
Narcomey’s daughter will have a display of his art work at Eufaula Main Street Studio during Art Walk.
Joe Brennen and his musicians will be guest troubadours touring the streets. Brennen, from Oklahoma City, gave a guitar workshop in Eufaula during 2008 at the local library. During this workshop he provided an overview of guitar playing styles; open D tuning and its application to slide guitar while showcasing vintage instruments.
