Nonprofit Resource Center good investment

If you could get a  1,500 percent return on your money, would you jump at the chance?

Of course you would.

Kim Lynch, executive director of Muskogee’s Nonprofit Resource Center, recently told the City of Muskogee Foundation board members that her organization leveraged its $71,245 Foundation grant into nearly $1.25 million in grants from other entities for other area nonprofits. That is a return of more than 1,500 percent on the Foundation’s investment.

The resource center exists to help other nonprofits. Its mission is to “provide services, training, and resources to help nonprofits meet community needs.”

D.J. Thompson, the grants manager for the City of Muskogee Foundation, said its “financial commitment to Muskogee Nonprofit Resource Center is an excellent investment.”

Without a doubt.
