One week remains before the start of the annual Azalea Festival. Thousands of guests will be coming to town over the next month to share in the activities that serve as a celebration of spring, our town’s history and culture, and a form of entertainment and economic boost.
We want to show those visitors a good time and a clean city, so please clean up.
The city has set dumpsters at five locations through today for you to get rid of your trash. There will also be a free dump day at the Muskogee Community Landfill on Saturday, as well as a day to drop off tree limbs and brush at the 40th and Denver streets city dump site.
People will judge us not only by the beauty of the azaleas and the quality of the events we sponsor, but also by our town’s cleanliness. Clean up, Muskogee.
Through today, you can dump trash at the following places:
• City material yard, 1503 S. Cherokee St.
• Water Dept., 1239 Chicago St.
• Fire stations at 2603 Border St., 503 E. Peak Blvd., and 1800 N. York St.
