We endorse U.S. Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., for re-election.
In Tuesday’s Second District Democratic primary, Boren faces Kevin Coleman of Grove.
Coleman has presented only token opposition, doing little more than file for office. But Boren has done a commendable job in Congress the past two years. He has not been a partisan voter in Congress, and for that he has strong support in this district.
We encourage you to vote Tuesday.
Several races are on the ballot, including Republican and Democratic races for U.S. Senate, a Republican contest for corporation commissioner and the Democratic race for Muskogee County District 2 commissioner.
The commissioner’s race will determine who leads District 2 as no Republican has filed for the office.
