Ray and Betty Eubanks of Muskogee will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on February, 16, 2012. They will be honored by their children with a family gathering in late March, which will include dinner, and a special anniversary cake.
The couple met at a church party at Honor Heights Park in 1961, and married at Boston Avenue Baptist Church on February 16, 1962. The Reverend Jewel Green officiated the ceremony.
Betty and Ray have two daughters: Teresa Dillingham, and husband John, of Winnipeg, Canada; and Michelle Willis, and husband Jerry, of Muskogee. They have seven grandchildren: Dr. Justin Dillingham, and wife Julie, of Clarkston, Mich.; Andy Dillingham of Fort Scott, Kan.; Caleb Dillingham, of Winnipeg; Austin Dillingham of Winnipeg; Iley Willis of St. Louis; Megan Willis of Muskogee, and Grayson Willis of Muskogee.
Ray retired as Machine Shop Supervisor in 2001 after 45 years with Gerber-Coburn. Betty worked as a postal clerk at Wright Drug for 15 years, and then retired in 2001 from Dillard’s after 15 years as a salesclerk in women’s shoes.
The couple spend their days doing the things they love most. Ray enjoys golf. Betty likes working in the yard. Most of all, Ray and Betty appreciate spending time with family and enjoying their grandchildren.
