The Werntz celebrate 60 years of wedded bliss

Frank David and Lucy Gregg Werntz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary September 1, 2012, at a dinner party with family and friends.  They  grew up together in the First Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Ark.  They were married on August 30, 1952, in the First Methodist Church of Fort Smith with Dr. Fred G. Roebuck officiating.

They have lived in Muskogee for more than 44 years. Lucy is a retired Muskogee teacher and Frank is a retired Pension Consultant.

The couple has four children: Cathy Anthis and husband, Stan, of Muskogee; Susan W. Gorton of Oklahoma City; Rebecca Jackson and husband, Rick, of Moore; and David Werntz and wife, Bonnie, of Altadena, Calif. They also have seven grandchildren — Sarah, Joshua Robert, and Laura Gorton; Karen, Kevin, Kristen and Carla Anthis; and two great grandchildren — Alix Brock and Joshua Hunter Gorton.
