Bob and Wendella Thomason celebrated their 62 years of marriage in Branson, Mo. they were married at Oologah on Aug. 24, 1947, where they were both raised and graduated from Oologah High School.
The couple attended Northeastern State University together where they graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Both taught school at Bacone College.
Bob started a printing business in Muskogee in 1975 after 18 years at Bacone. He sold his business and retired in 1990. Wendella retired in 1991 after 31 years at Bacone.
They have one son, roger, who lives in Warner, after retiring from Connors State College. One son, Robert Jr., died in 1991 as the result of an airplane crash. Bob and Wendella have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. They are enjoying retirement in Muskogee.
