Donald and Neoma Thomas of Muskogee celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this summer with two celebrations.
They celebrated in Muskogee with their children and their families with a dinner held in their honor. Another celebration was held in Edmond, which included more than 40 immediate and extended family members.
The couple was married June 23, 1949, in Muskogee and have lived here all their married lives.
Donald retired from Owens Brockway after 44 years of employment. Neoma was employed as a bookkeeper, secretary, and insurance clerk. The couple attends First Baptist Church.
They have two daughters, Donna Sisson of Muskogee, and Susan Pierce and husband Billy of Edmond. They have five grandchildren, Corey Sisson and wife Chrisa, Katie Jones and husband Billy, Kimberly Callaham and husband Eric, Chad Pierce and Cassie Pierce. Great-grandchildren are Austin Jones, Tyler Sisson, Braden Callaham and Lainey Sisson.
