Don and Jo Garvin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and family at the Central Baptist Church.
They have one daughter, Jill Tipton and husband John, two granddaughters, Jennifer Arnold and husband Jerry, and Jessica Tipton, one great-granddaughter, Gracie Dawn Arnold.
They were married June 20, 1959, at Central Baptist Church in Muskogee, where they are still members. He is a retired educator and is serving his third term as a Tribal Councilman with the Cherokee Nation. She is retired from banking, real estate and insurance business.
