Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lusk of Plano, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcie Nicole, of Plano, to Gregory Jay White of Dallas, son of Dr. and Mrs. David White of Marshall, Texas.
Marcie is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lusk of McKinney, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Newton Gilbert of Addison, Texas. She is a 1998 graduate of Plano Senior High School and a 2002 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University where she earned a bachelor of science degree in education. She was a member of the Ouachita band and is employed as a teacher with the Plano Independent School District.
Gregory is the grandson of Elizabeth White and the late Charles White of Tulsa, and Vera Cookson and the late Joe Cookson of Fort Gibson. He is a 2002 graduate of Marshall High School and a 2006 summa cum laude graduate of Saint Louis University with a bachelor of science degree in aeronautics with majors in professional pilot and aviation management. He served as president of the Alpha Eta Rho aviation fraternity at Saint Louis University. Gregory is employed as an airline pilot for American Eagle based in Dallas.
The couple will marry at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Ellis Chapel, Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.
