Myers to celebrate Golden Anniversary March 3

Earnie and Merle Myers of Checotah, OK, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception given by their children on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 2-4 p.m. at the Checotah Community Center.

The couple married on March 3, 1962, at New Home Freewill Baptist Church in Berryhill, OK.

They have two children, Rodney Myers and wife Amy of Broken Arrow, and Michele Dupont and husband Danny of Muskogee and six grandchildren, Matt Myers, Elizabeth Myers, Ben Schons, the late Dereck Schons, Madison Dupont and Katie Dupont.

Earnie worked for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, retiring in 2004. Merle worked for People’s National Bank of Checotah, retiring in 1999.

Friends are invited to the reception in their honor.
