Youngs celebrate 65 years of wedded bliss

Glenn T. and Jimmie Sue Young celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Thursday, August 23, 2012.  The couple grew up together in Wister, OK, was high school sweethearts and was married at the First Baptist Church in Wister after “The War.”

Jimmie retired from teaching in 1988 after 37 1/2 faithful years of service.  Glenn retired from OG&E in 1990 after 40 years of loyal service.  Glenn, aka “The Juice Man,” retired from Whitlock after 15 years of outstanding service and Jimmie has accumulated over 11,000 hours of service with MRMC.

The couple has two children, Susan Young of Muskogee and the late Randal J “Randy” Young.
