Al and Anita (Letts) Green celebrated 65 years of marriage on Aug. 3, 2012, with a celebration at The Canebrake.
The couple married Aug. 2, 1947, at First Christian Church in Oklahoma City with the Rev. Bill Alexander officiating and attend St. Paul Methodist Church.
Al is the retired director of Lake Area United Way.
The couple have two children, Kathy Hewitt and her husband Perry III of Muskogee, and Karee Steele and her husband Jim of Fort Gibson; five grandchildren, Perry Hewitt IV of Branson West, Mo., Mike Hewitt of Muskogee, Chris Hewitt of Oklahoma City, Kristin Parks of Muskogee and Sarah Steele of Fort Gibson; and eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Hewitt, Jacob Lujan, Daniel Hewitt and Carson Hewitt of Branson West, Mo., and Abbie Scott, Bronx Duren, Kate Hewitt and Jack Hewitt of Muskogee.
