Fritchie, McClendon exchange vows in Idaho

Amber Jean Fritchie and John Henry McClendon were married Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Amber is the daughter of Duane and Mary Fritchie of Lee’s Summit, Mo. She is the granddaughter of Norma Wade of Independence, Mo., Oscar Wade of Golden, Mo., and the late Isabelle and Ernest Fritchie of Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Henry is the son of Teresa Chaudoin and Jim Cole of Muskogee, and the late John McClendon. He is the grandson of Betty Chaudoin and the late Henry Chaudoin of Muskogee, and Dorothy McClendon and the late Carl McClendon of Dalhart, Texas.

Amber is a 2002 graduate of Lee’s Summit North High School and a December 2007 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor of science degree in forestry with a focus on urban and community forestry. She is employed at Maurice’s in Stillwater.

Henry is a 2004 graduate of Muskogee High School and will graduate in December 2009 from OSU with a bachelor of science degree in natural resource ecology and management with a focus on forest management and silvaculture. He is employed by the U.S. Forest Service and has worked the past two summers in the panhandle of Idaho at the Powell Ranger Station and in Potlatch, Idaho. After graduation in December, he will be stationed on a district of the Clearwater National Forest in Idaho.

After a honeymoon to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Tetons, the couple is at home in Stillwater.
