A YouTube posting that issued a “warning” to Muskogee is a preview of a movie scheduled to be aired April 25 at the Bare Bones Film Festival, Muskogee Police said.
The posting went up on April 4 and had more than 1,800 viewers by Thursday, according to the Web site.
The posting warned Muskogee residents to “open your eyes. April 25th is a day you will come to remember.”
It went on to predict “the end is coming.”
Muskogee Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation had begun investigation of the case when the link between the posting and the movie was discovered.
The movie, which had a 30-minute run time was filmed in Dale, Okla., according to the Bare Bones Web site. It is described as “a mind-bending homage to classic suspense and religion horror.”
Brad Holt, police community relations officer, said it has not been determined whether charges will be filed.
