DG STANDALONE CHEROKEE CAPITOL 1.tif

The Cherokee Nation Capitol in Tahlequah, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is being restored to look more like it appeared in the 1800s. The work began in January and is expected to be completed by this summer. Part of the funding for the restoration came from the federal Save America’s Treasures program.
