The “Num Num” heads for open water on its trip to Alabama to be painted. The yacht was the first large recreational boat to arrive at the harbor in July 2006 after Phase I completion of Three Forks Harbor at the confluence of the Arkansas, Verdigris and Grand rivers. The project was an $8 million partnership between the Muskogee Port Authority and private businesses. Bob Potts bought the “Casa de Agua” in Alabama after Hurricane Katrina sank her. They restored her there, then brought her to Muskogee, where they overhauled the engines and made interior repairs. It is an 1989 80-foot Hatteras motor yacht that was built in North Carolina. The yacht has four bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and eight air conditioning systems. It has twin V-12 diesel engines that each crank out 1,080 horsepower and power two generators. It has the ability to make fresh water from salt or river water, and has a 2,080-gallon fuel capacity. The yacht was renamed “Num Num” while they worked on it. Potts and his crew are taking the “Num Num” back to Orange Beach, Ala., to be painted and resold.
