Tom and Deborah Carment recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married on Sept. 7, 1968, in the Rowsey Memorial Chapel at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Muskogee.
Tom and Deborah celebrated with an Alaskan cruise in July. Family and friends will celebrate with a dinner party hosted by their children on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, in Tulsa.
Dr. Tom Carment is a professor of accounting at Bacone College, and Dr. Deborah Carment is a professor of mathematics at Northeastern State University. They are members of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Tom is actively involved with Morning Optimists and Boy Scouts. Deborah enjoys gardening, sewing and quilting. Tom enjoys bicycling, boating and traveling. Together, they enjoy walking and spending time with their grandchildren.
Tom and Deborah have three children; Rebecca and Doug Scheihing of Muskogee, Dr. John and Carrie Carment of Tulsa, and David and Kerry Carment of Broken Arrow. They also have three grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah Scheihing of Muskogee, and James Carment of Tulsa.
