The Statons celebrate 65 years together

Edwin and Delores Staton of Muskogee were married Sept. 18, 1943, in Sallisaw.

They celebrated their 65th anniversary Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Islamorada Fish Company in Broken Arrow with their children and grandchildren.

Dinner was followed by a small party at their daughter’s home with family and friends. It was hosted by their children, Connie and David Tucker, Pam and Phil Leininger, and Sheila and Dan Buthod.

They were longtime educators for Muskogee Public Schools and members of First Baptist Church. They have truly been sweethearts for 65 years and the core that unites their entire family.
